I will be starting with Units 1, 9 and 10. I want to cover studying science and then move on into Life Science. Ms. Spatz will be focusing on SUMS activities, but I plan on incorporating some of those activities (or similar ones) into my science instruction and not relying on the book as much. I want to focus more on hands on and technological activities to strengthen their learning and mastery of activitiies. Our focus in life science is more on the reproductive cycle of various plants and animals.
We will spend alot of time on Life Science, Rocks and Minerals (thoroughly investigating) and tying in Florida Resources.
We are also going to master properties of matter (water cycle, changes of matter, etc)
